Condensation
Condensation – to be avoided
When moisture in the air condenses, the result is water that runs down walls and drips from ceilings, pipes and all kinds of installations. This produces a poor, and often unhealthy, indoor climate, and is also a major cause of corrosion, rust, mould and rot.
That’s why it is necessary to deal with condensation as quickly as possible.
A combination of factors
Condensation is the result of the interplay between the amount of moisture present in the air, and differences in temperature between the air and the surfaces and fixtures with which it comes into contact.
Condensation occurs when moist air is cooled by any surface that is colder than the dew point of the air – such as a cold iron pipe. The moisture in the air gathers on the cold object. This is why problems with condensation are often encountered in places such as construction sites, ice rinks and waterworks, where large surfaces are usually colder than the surrounding air.
Eliminate condensation with a dehumidifier
Adsorption dehumidifiers can ensure that condensation does not form on cold surfaces, such as ceilings, walls, pipes, pumps, containers and products.
This is made possible by making sure that the dew point in the air is constant, and always matches the temperature of the cold surfaces with which it comes into contact.
